Croctus just watched with her arms crossed as the girl tried to strangle the beast rather than finishing it off with a final blow. It seems she really was a little bit messed up in the head. She wasn't in the game to beat it, but more so to enjoy bringing things down to their knees. Granted, that's not always a bad thing, but there were some limits. Maybe she would make a good partner, but not without another one to help watch backs. She would have to tread carefully, that was for sure.
Once the girl finally snapped it's neck and it exploded into dust, she finally decided to speak. "Likely the whole choking thing would end up being an ability, yeah," she said as she watched the bits of glowing dust flutter away. It was kind of beautiful if you looked at it as not dead chunks of fox. Eugh, never mind. "It'd probably be better to have something that does the asphyxiation for you, like a whip or a projectile coil. That way the onslaught can continue while it chokes. More damage over time." She kicked the dust on the ground.
"On a positive note, it looks like there won't always be piles of rotting things that randomly disappear when they respawn. I've always hated when people have a lack of animation between death and respawn." Croctus smiled, probably for the first time since showing up here. She looked over at the grass blowing in the field. She saw two more foxes wandering about in the middle of the field. Maybe fighting two at once will help with more data on how these things work.
"You wanna go again?" she said with a wry smile on her face.
