Sarah Beckett has been known all her life as the "gamer girl" in her schools. There hasn't been a day going by that she wasn't criticized for focusing more time on her gameplay than on her school work. She holds several leaderboards positions throughout some of the most competitive games, and holds a couple speedrunning records of some older games on supposedly ancient consoles back then things could only be 64 bits. Maybe the reason she got knocked so hard in school by the other students was due to the fact that she wasn't an unsuccessful student. She wasn't the best, mind you, but she always managed to get the lowest cut of the Dean's List possible every year.

Now out of all of her schooling, having her degree in culinary arts, Sarah looks towards the world of professional gaming. Back in the 2000's or so, people started taking gaming more seriously and created Major League Gaming teams. She has always aspired to be on one of those teams, having an AGDQ affiliation and a minor partnership with Twitch, but she hasn't taken any larger of steps towards becoming a "pro gamer." Her parents constantly harp on her to go get a real job other than streaming and making just enough money to get by on that. Her mother and father beg her on a daily basis to toss the games aside and do something with her culinary degree. She could go ahead an be a professional chef or open a restaurant. Sarah was good at cooking. Like, really good at cooking, but that was all for herself. She wanted to make the best meals--for herself. Food is important to Sarah; it is so very important.

Then came the release of Soul Stream ONLINE. Sarah was all about MMO's and the whole idea behind virtual reality appealed to her greatly. She could become the highest level gamer in the Virtual Reality universe and be globally recognized for it. Then she'd get sponsors, hell yeah! She wanted to pretest the game and make sure it would launch correctly before attempting to stream it. She already had some cords shipping to her house to record that should be arriving in the next day or so, but then...she never got out of the game.
