IT'S MORE THAN A SOUND
If Aria had the presence of mind to evaluate her decision-making abilities, she would definitely be doubting herself at this very moment. Not only did she not have the foggiest idea of how she was supposed to log out, there was the problem she was attempting to remedy right now. Not only did she not know how to log out, she didn't even know where to find her dad.
Apparently, passersby either hadn't seen him, or were unable to understand her exact description and flawless impersonation of her father. It probably didn't help that there were distractions aplenty. Between marveling at the town, and convincing a few well-meaning souls that no, she didn't need help and that no, she wasn't lost.
It was annoying, but her quest was far from over. "He's about this tall," She reached up a hand to his approximate height, trying again to describe her target to a less-than-enthusiastic older player. "And he's got a face like this:" Aria did her best impression of her father, which just amounted to the twelve-year-old narrowing her eyes and looking slightly grumpy for a few passing moments. "You sure you haven't seen him?" The other player simply shook his head, and wandered away. Aria tilted her head. He seemed to be distracted. A lot of people seemed to be, actually. Did she miss something important?
Aria folded her arms, trying to think of a new angle of attack. "Maybe he's outside town...?" Very possible he had wandered into a dungeon and gotten lost. She expelled an exaggerated sigh. Her dad really wasn't making this easy on her.

So far, he'd wandered around what felt like the entire town, managed to avoid any sort of fight, saved a girl from some wolves (he hoped that sheep was okay or had respawned or something), and gathered eggs. This was not Makenai's idea of a good time. At least he had made... well, he probably wouldn't call Mint a friend, but she seemed to make for a good temporary ally. Besides, if she was going to go dungeon-diving sometime soon, he'd probably go with her.
However, with a quest out of the way and a lack of certainty on what he should do next, Makenai found himself just wandering again. Being around other people had been a benefit, because when he was alone again, he returned to dwelling. How the hell was he going to get out of here? Why had people trapped them in this game? What was going to happen to his daughter while he was stuck?
It was around the time that thought crossed his mind that he saw a little girl who... but that wasn't possible. It was only because he was thinking about her, and he was seeing a kid who resembled her, and so he was...
Makenai stopped and looked at the little girl a short distance away, who seemed to be looking for someone herself. Half of him was hoping he was right, while the other half was praying he was wrong; he could look after her here, but if she was here, then she was trapped, too. ...and how the hell would she have even gotten here?
"Tae-chan...?" he called, carefully, keeping his distance in case it was just a random little girl. The last thing he needed was a reputation for approaching children. ARIA★ this is not masterful problem-solving

IT'S MORE THAN A SOUND
An uncharacterstic moment of deep thought was broken as Aria heard a familiar voice on the edge of hearing. She blinked, and wheeled around, looking for its source. It didn't take her long to see him, and her face immediately lit up. "Dad!" She didn't hesitate to run to close the distance, and, once she had, she reached out to grab one of her father's hands in both of hers, spending a moment to simply beam up at him. She was, of course, happy to see him. The last time she had seen him, he was asleep, and wouldn't wake up. A coma, or something like that.
She didn't revel in the reunion for too long, Aria tugging on the hand, apparently trying to lead Makenai somewhere. "C'mon, let's find our way out of here," Despite her trying to lead the way, uncertainty was beginning to creep in. She hadn't planned this very well at all, barely having a plan to find the guy, let alone an escape plan. "There has to be an exit somewhere..." Modelling her plan off of video games and anime was probably a bad start, but Aria had yet to find the fault in her logic. The hero always found the solution after they charged in bravely, so why should it be any different for her?
