Christopher was given up by his mother as a child so he could have a better chance at life. He grew up in the United State Foster system, being bounced from one home to another. The constant upheaval was something that Chris got used to, but he tried to remain positive, hoping that one day, his birth mother would come back and retrieve him. However, the years passed on and he eventually gave that idea up. As he grew past the age of ten, the reality that he would neither have his birth mother back or be adopted was dawning on him.

That marked a significant change in the boy’s personality. While he had been a bit reserved and well-meaning before, Christopher was now inclined to meddle, and he would flout his foster parent’s authority without being directly rude to their faces. But he did as he pleased, including sneaking off in the middle of the night, or going off to explore woods or swamps. He was labeled something of a ‘troubled child’, sent to counseling and was passed between homes a few more times. The only steady point, it seemed, was a forum he found, where a group of kids and younger teens would spend their time chatting and arguing and talking about change. Christopher felt really connected to a group for the first time in his life, and the forum influenced his behavior as well, making him want to help people more rather than just mess with them.

When this new game became the talk of the forum, Chris knew he had to find a way to play it and really meet his friends. Though he had no money, one of the older foster kids in Chris’ current home had managed to save enough to buy it. Christopher stole that money (intending to pay him back, of course!) and used it to grab Soul Stream Online first. The news of no one being able to log out caught up to him, but the boy is fairly certain that he’d rather be in a fantasy world with his friends rather than go back to boring reality. As for that mysterious message, Chris is ready to tackle every challenge head on. He might not want to go back… but he wants to help those who do.
