The instructions seemed simple enough. Chase off some gray foxes near the church, then head over to the pasture and chase off some red foxes. Of course, this was running under video game logic rather than actual logic, so the only real solution was wanton murder.
And why not? Tutorial quests needed to be simple. That worked out just fine for Melon, since she had yet to actually test the combat system yet. Or quest progression, even. She just needed to find that other boy that signed up for the quest. With any luck? They could probably get this quest done quickly enough and repeat it until their early money problems were solved and they were sufficiently armed to clear other quests even more quickly.
That would assume doing so would be more efficient than clearing the one-time quests, of course. Figuring that out would necessarily mean actually completing this quest, though, so she already had something to focus on. Her first priority: Actually trying to find this guy! It was for that reason that Melon headed for the church first, scanning the area slowly for her partner for this quest. AZURE★ better than clicketyclicks

He had originally found the found the quest after doing some exploration of Ornella, checking out the different places and what all the beginning town had to offer. He had found a quite spot in the grass to sit on in order to explore the interface of the menus they had access to in the game. It was during that that he had found the quest log and had seen the list of different quests that needed help. There he had spotted on and had decided to take it to see what else the game had in store.
That was how he found himself heading over to the church to look for his quest partner. He knew the name of who it was he was looking for, but that was all at the moment. Thankfully when he arrived there was only one of player standing in the meeting spot for the start of the quest. She also seemed to be looking for someone, so he decided to take his chances and stepped forward to approach her.
"Hi, there, are you... Melon?" Azure smiled, raising his hand to scratch at his cheek with a finger before offering it out to the black-haired player in a friendly manner. "I'm Blaine-- Azure. It's nice to meet you." He still wasn't used to using that name, and it would take some getting used to.
"You weren't waiting long, were you? I wasn't exactly sure who I was looking for." Now that he had face to match the name, it was a lot easier.

And there he was. Melon adjusted her glasses as she looked the approaching player over, sizing him up briefly before nodding in response. "That is correct. A pleasure to meet you as well, Azure."
The offered hand wasn't taken immediately, a somewhat skeptical look in her eyes. He seemed nice enough, but so were other people she had met when they wanted something from her. How did she know he wasn't doing the same to make her let her guard down? Granted, they were here to do a quest together at least once, so...
Why not? She took his hand to shake it firmly, although there was still a bit of lingering hesitation there. At least she didn't have to give him her actual name. "Not long at all. I only recently arrived, so the timing was lucky. I was expecting with a wardrobe significantly more... Blue, considering the name. Are you prepared, then?"
